Knutson, Glynn cruise to victories; 2018 series is complete!

With nearly 1,0000 unique competitors in the books this year, the 2018 race season has come to a close. It's been another fun year with some new faces on the scene, each pushing to do their best and grab those series points.

Congratulations to Jess Knutson and Jason Glynn, top female and male point earners in the series. Knutson, a top three series finisher in 2016 and 2017, put in consistently solid performances all year, even notching a win in the CLC Duathlon en route to a season total 625.92 points. Glynn surged hard mid-season and racked up some big points in the bike-centric tri and du to help him walk away with 433.01 points.

We must also recognize our "Raced All 5" athletes for their persistence and dedication. 50 bonus points were awarded to Frank Fairchild, Sarah Grotberg (at 13, our youngest ever with perfect attendance), Jess Knutson, JoEllen Kohlman-Petrick (and her tagalong race buddy), and Richard Shouse.

Overall winner and Raced All 5 certificates were handed out at the Turkey Trot award ceremony. 2019 race discount codes for these individuals and age group winners will be sent out over email once planning for the 2019 race season gets underway.

And finally, this may or may not be the final year of the series. We noticed that the series trophy still has one set of nameplates to fill, so stay tuned to see if we can make that happen!
