The wind came out to play today, but racers at the Central Lakes Cycle 24/7 duathlon took it all in stride. On the women's side of the leaderboard, Jess Knutson notched her first overall victory of the season, earning herself a cool 150 points and top honors for the series heading into the final race. Last year's champ JoEllen Kohlman-Petrick trails by about 50 points, but should she earn double points for the passenger she's carrying with her this season? Battling it out for third place are Paula Shouse and Dawn Fairchild; Shouse, with a perfect attendance record thus far, will earn her 5th race bonus in November if she opts to run the Turkey Trot, which will help her keep Jaci Wilson, winner of this year's Lake Region Run Half Marathon and Running Wild 7k, at bay should she choose to run in November.
